Mumbai: Courtesy of Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar, the Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) project in Beed has gained significant momentum.

Taking forward the initiative launched through Tata Technologies, the Board of Directors of MIDC has approved the allocation of 4,000 square meters of land in Beed MIDC Industrial Area (Facility No. 3), along with the required funding for setting up the centre.

The decision has paved the way for providing industrial training, technical skill development, employment, and self-employment opportunities to the youth of Beed.

Ajit Pawar personally followed up with concerned officials through consistent review meetings to fast-track the process of establishing the CIIIT. With MIDC’s crucial decision, the tripartite agreement and foundation ceremony for the project are expected to be held soon.

A CIIIT centre has already been established earlier at Gondwana University in Gadchiroli by the municipal council in collaboration with Tata Technologies. MIDC has also been assigned the role of implementation agency for CIIIT centres planned at Ratnagiri and Shirdi, along with funding support.

In a similar manner, MIDC has now taken the decision to provide funding and act as the implementation agency for the Beed CIIIT as well. This move is expected to significantly improve access to employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for local youth.

At the beginning of 2025, Pawar announced the establishment of a CIIIT centre to equip the district’s youth with industrial training and technical skills. Tata Technologies responded positively to the vision and committed to setting up the new CIIIT centre in Beed with an investment of ₹191 crore.

The company has also formally communicated its commitment to Pawar. The upcoming centre is expected to train around 7,000 youth annually, which will contribute to creating an industry-ready ecosystem in the district.

Ajit Pawar is known for his result-oriented governance. Ever since assuming charge as Guardian Minister of Beed, he has taken decisive steps for the district and ensured the timely implementation of planned initiatives.

On his visit to Beed on April 2, 2025, he announced the setting up of a CIIIT in collaboration with Tata Technologies and followed up by writing to the company requesting their support.

Responding positively to Pawar’s letter, Tata Technologies agreed to invest ₹191 crore to establish the new CIIIT in Beed. Of this, ₹33 crore (15%) will be contributed by the Beed district administration, while the remaining investment will be made by Tata Technologies and its partner organizations.

Once operational, the CIIIT will provide globally relevant industrial and technical training aligned with Industry 4.0 standards to approximately 7,000 youth annually. This will enable industries to access skilled manpower as per their needs and will help youth secure jobs or take up self-employment.

For the first three years, Tata Technologies will bear the entire cost of training at the CIIIT. Fourth year onwards, the cost will be shared equally between Tata Technologies and the district administration.

The initiative will provide thousands of youth in Beed with skill-based training tailored to industry needs, improve their employability, and help build a conducive environment for industrial growth. As a result, Beed citizens expressed happiness and satisfaction over Ajit Pawar's determined and impactful administrative style.
