Jalgaon: In the Jalgoan murder case of 21-year-old Suleman Khan from Jamner was kidnapped and brutally beaten by a group of 10 to 15 men. The Additional Superintendent of Police, Kavita Nerkar, confirmed the police arrested four suspects, who were remanded to five days of custody after being presented in court.
A case has been filed at Jamner police station for mob lynching, kidnapping, and inciting riots. Instead of taking Khan to the hospital, the assailants left his battered body outside his home.
They subsequently assaulted his parents and sister, causing injuries to them as well, before escaping. The event has generated extensive outrage and anxiety among locals. Relatives assert that the murder exhibited a disturbing pattern akin to the killing of Santosh Deshmukh in Beed. They stated that Khan was forced into a vehicle, attacked at three to four various locations, and subsequently returned to his village where his body was abandoned.
The intruders also forced their way into the home and assaulted his mourning family. Khan's family requested an "in-camera" autopsy due to the severity of the injuries, aiming to guarantee that every wound was recorded. The autopsy took place at Jalgaon District Hospital under strict police protection.
