International Women's Day 2025: CSMT Station Shines Pink To Honour Women's Strength, Courage, and Achievements | @Central_Railway

Mumbai: Central Railway lit up the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) heritage building in pink on the evening of Friday, March 7, in honour of International Women’s Day. The post was shared by Central Railway on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, The lighting was done as a tribute to women, a day prior to Women’s Day.

The lighting of CSMT in pink celebrates the strength, courage, and achievements of women. Central Railway continues to empower women by providing various opportunities and facilities to help them reach new heights.

At Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, citizens of Mumbai often see different colours on the building, but a day before International Women's Day, the CST station building turned pink for this special occasion. Central Railway also shared many posts on X acknowledging that women are playing a vital role in the Railways. They shared pictures and the designations of the women with hashtags.

Central & Western Railway to run Holi Special trains

Central and Western Railways have announced several special Holi trains from Mumbai. Central Railway will operate trains from Dadar to Ratnagiri, as well as from Lokmanya Tilak Terminals (LTT) and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST) to various other locations.

Meanwhile, Western Railway has introduced trains from Mumbai Central and from Bandra to other destinations. These decisions have been made to provide a hassle-free travel experience for passengers during the festive season. Additionally, Central Railway is running 34 unreserved special trains from Dadar to Ratnagiri station. However, Western Railway has also added special trains on routes such as Bandra to Bikaner and from Mumbai Central to Khatipura.
