Parbhani: A clip featuring Meghna Bordikar, the BJP state minister for public health, threatening to slap a gram sevak at a public event in Bori, located in Parbhani's Jintur taluka, has gained widespread attention. NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar shared the video on his social media, taking aim at Bordikar and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis for selecting "arrogant" ministers in the state government.
He charged Bordikar with intimidating a gram sevak for supposedly not presenting a sufficient number of PMAY beneficiaries at the event. Bordikar, nonetheless, stated that the gram sevak was soliciting bribes from widows and laborers among other PMAY beneficiaries, so she admonished him for the sake of the public.
In the video, Bordikar said, "If you operate in this way, keep in mind these are the words of Meghna Bordikar..." I'll hit you. Who covers your salary? "You will be sent away right away." She states, "Avoid attempting to be a sycophant for anyone." Do you believe I’m unaware of how you operate? "If you wish to operate this way, resign from this position."
In a mocking post, Rohit Pawar asked Chief Minister Fadnavis about the noble ministers he has selected for his government. "Your cabinet's reputation is not just at risk, but beyond that, it’s Maharashtra's dignity that is being tarnished, which is the greater issue," he stated.
Bordikar subsequently informed reporters that Pawar shared a edited segment of her video on social media. "What I mentioned before and after the event has not been made public," she stated. Bordikar, a BJP MLA from Jintur elected twice, serves as the guardian minister for Parbhani district.
