Mumbai: The Mumbai Metro Line 3 has shared an easy process for citizens to obtain the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) on Wednesday. This contactless smart card can be used across all Metro lines and BEST buses in Mumbai, offering seamless travel. The process to get the card has been simplified into four quick steps, ensuring convenience and accessibility for all commuters.
To get the Mumbai Metro-3 NCMC Card, the first step is to head to your nearest Aqua Line Metro station. These cards are available at all designated Metro-3 stations. Once at the station, the second step involves registering your name and mobile number. Document verification is also a part of this step.
Mumbai Metro Line 3 has specified the Official Verification Documents (OVDs). The acceptable documents include Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving Licence, Letter issued by the National Population Register (NPR), or an NREGA Job Card issued under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.
In the fourth and the final step, you are required to recharge the NCMC card with an amount between Rs 100 and Rs 2000. While the card itself is issued for free, it needs to be topped up to be activated and ready for use.
