Attention Thanekars! Traffic Police Issues Parking Advisory In Kasarvadavali Area To Ease Traffic Congestion
Due to a rise in the number of vehicles in the Kasarvadavali traffic zone, stretching from Kashinath Ghanekar Circle to Gemini Building and Surya Tower, a structured parking arrangement has been introduced by the police.

Thane: In response to the growing number of vehicles and increasing traffic congestion in the Kasarvadavali Traffic Sub-Division, the Thane City Traffic Department has issued a new traffic control notification implementing revised parking arrangements in key areas to ensure smooth and uninterrupted traffic flow.
According to the notification issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Pankaj Shirsat, the area from Kashinath Ghanekar Circle to Gemini Building to Surya Tower has witnessed a significant rise in vehicular movement, leading to frequent obstructions to public transport and causing inconvenience to commuters.

Kashinath Ghanekar Circle to Gemini Building Circle (P-1, P-2 Parking)
Distance: 600 meters
Type: Designated Parking
Timing: 24 hours
Gemini Building Circle to Surya Tower (both sides)
Type: Parallel Parking
Distance: 600 meters
Timing: 24 hours
Surya Tower to Public Toilet near DVA School Corner (both sides)
Type: No Parking Zone
Distance: 300 meters
Timing: 24 hours
The details of the new parking arrangements were shared via an X (formerly Twitter) post by the Thane Police Commissionerate through their official handle @ThaneCityPolice. In the post, they highlighted the recently issued traffic control notification and informed the public about the designated parking zones and trial implementation in the Kasarvadavali area.
To address this issue, parking arrangements for two-wheelers and four-wheelers have been introduced along the roadside footpaths at specific locations, while ensuring that entrances to hospitals, residential schools, religious places, and bus stops remain unobstructed.
These changes will be implemented on a 30-day trial basis from the date of publication of the notification. Citizens are invited to send any objections or suggestions in writing to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Transport Branch Office, Teen Hath Naka, Thane 400602. If no objections are received within the trial period, the notification will be made permanent until further notice.
It is also clarified that this traffic control notification does not apply to emergency and essential service vehicles, including police, fire brigade, ambulances, green corridor vehicles, and oxygen supply transport.
