Attention Thanekars! Major Traffic Disruptions Ahead On Thane-Ghodbunder Road; Check Details | FPJ
Thane: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), in coordination with the Traffic Department and MMRDA, has issued a traffic advisory for all commuters travelling along the Thane-Ghodbunder Road and Podbandar Road, due to major infrastructure work from May 17 to May 26, 2025.
From May 17 to 26, steel grid installation work will be carried out on the Kasarvadavali Bridge by J. Kumar Infraprojects Ltd. For public safety, all types of vehicles will be restricted from using the main road at Kasarvadavali Junction during this period. Additionally, micro-surfacing (resurfacing) of the road at Gaimukh Ghat will take place from May 18 to 20, between 12:00 AM and 5:00 PM, further affecting vehicle movement.

Key Diversions & Closures:
Night Closures (11:55 PM to 4:00 AM daily) at Kasarvadavali Bus Stop from May 17 to 25.
Heavy Vehicle Restrictions:
From Mumbai/Thane to Podbandar: Closed at Y Junction; divert via Kharegaon Toll to Ajurphata.
From Kalwa to Ghodbunder: Entry closed at Kharegaon Toll Gate.
From Nashik to Ghodbunder: Entry closed at Mankoli Naka; use alternate via Ajurphata.
From Gujarat/Vasai to Ghodbunder: Entry closed at Chinchoti and Fountain Hotel; divert via Kaman and Mankoli Bhinwadi.
