Mumbai: On August 12, the Siddhivinayak Ganpati Temple Trust in Prabhadevi is getting ready for Angaraki Sankashti Chaturthi, anticipating lakhs of worshippers. This event, honoring Lord Ganesha, takes place on the fourth day after the full moon in the waning phase of Hindu months.
A shed has been set up along the exit to the temple grounds enabling devotees to line up while considering road safety and traffic, and to access the complimentary taxi and bus services available to them. Complimentary tea and hygiene services were provided to the community at the temple.
To enhance worship, the temple will create distinct lines for men, women, senior citizens, and sanctum darshan, as well as remote viewing facilities at temple entrance one. Other facilities comprise ambulances, water stations, and added security, while the municipal corporation guarantees cleanliness. A shoe stand will be provided at no cost in the pavilions.
The importance of Angaraki Sankashti is connected to its occurrence on Tuesday, regarded as more holy because of its link to Ganesha's birth. On this occasion, free bus and taxi services were provided to the pilgrims visiting the temple on the day of Angaraki Sankashti Chaturthi on August 12. Darshan begins at 1:30 AM, pauses, then continues from 3:30 AM to 9:00 PM, concluding with a last darshan from 9:30 PM to 11:50 PM.
