Just days after tying the knot in what’s being called one of the grandest weddings of the year, newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez made their first public outing, and they did it in true Venetian style. The couple was spotted in Venice, Italy, heading to the iconic Harry's Bar, the birthplace of the Bellini and a historic hotspot for celebrities.
According to the Page Six report, Harry’s Bar was shut down to allow the newlyweds and their guests to enjoy a private lunch.
First outing as husband and wife in style!
Jeff and Lauren stepped out looking relaxed yet effortlessly stylish. For her first date with her husband, Lauren exuded European summer glamour in a chic black off-the-shoulder dress. She accentuated the look with a cream-coloured purse, oversized sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat that added a timeless touch to her ensemble.
Meanwhile, the Amazon founder complemented his wife in a light brown T-shirt, paired with matching pants and chic sunglasses.
About Harry's Bar in Venice
Tucked away near the Grand Canal, Harry’s Bar is a historic hotspot in Venice. Founded in 1931 by Giuseppe Cipriani, the story goes that a young American named Harry Pickering was cut off financially by his family due to his drinking. Cipriani, then a bartender at Hotel Europa, lent him 10,000 lire (then about $500 US). Two years later, Pickering returned, repaid the loan with interest, and gifted Cipriani enough money to open a bar, insisting it be named Harry’s Bar.

Wedding that's still the talk of the town
After months of making headlines worldwide, Jeff and Lauren tied the knot on June 27 in a luxurious Venice affair. The bride stunned in a Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda gown that reportedly took over 900 hours to craft.
