WATCH: 'Sorrow Fears This Place,' Says PM Narendra Modi As He Visits MP's Anandpur Dham In Ashoknagar | X / Mohan Yadav

Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Anandpur Dham in MP’s Ashoknagar on Friday, where he addressed a large gathering and praised the spiritual and cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh. 

He began his speech with the greeting ‘Satchidanand Namah’ and said visiting Anandpur Dham was a blessing for him.

Upon his arrival, PM Modi was welcomed by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. He first visited the temple at Anandpur Dham, offered prayers, and took part in the aarti. He then went to the Anand Sarovar and offered flowers during a short prayer. Later, he attended a public program at Moti Mahal, where he addressed the people.

The Prime Minister paid respect to all the spiritual leaders and mentioned famous local temples, including Chanderi’s Jageshwari Mata, Kadwaya’s Bijasan Mata, and Karila Dham’s Janki Mata.

‘Anandpur Dham’s soil is blessed by saints’

Modi highlighted the rich spiritual tradition of Anandpur Dham, saying that “where the soil is blessed by saints, even sorrow is afraid to enter Ashoknagar.” He said it was an honor to be part of the Baisakhi celebration and the birth anniversary of Maharaj ji.

He appreciated the work of the Anandpur Trust in the fields of health, education, cow protection, and environment. “The trust is doing excellent service by following the philosophy that serving humans is serving God,” he said.

Governor, CM receive PM Modi

Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and chief minister Mohan Yadav also reached Anandpur Dham. They warmly received the prime minister.

Sharing pictures on his official X handle, CM Mohan Yadav wrote, "A warm welcome and heartfelt greetings to our esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on the sacred land of Anandpur Dham in Ashoknagar."

PM Modi mentioned new schemes

Modi also listed the government’s efforts to uplift the poor and protect nature. He mentioned schemes like the Prime Minister’s Free Food Program, Ayushman Bharat for free treatment, PM Awas Yojana for housing, and Jal Jeevan Mission for clean water. He praised the initiative of planting trees in the name of mothers and said crores of trees have been planted across the country.

Talking about development in Madhya Pradesh, Modi said Chanderi handloom has received GI tag recognition, and preparations for the Ujjain Simhastha are in full swing. Work is also underway on the Ram Van Gaman Path.

“Madhya Pradesh is truly unique and amazing, and now it will get a new identity,” the Prime Minister said. He added, “Some people have become disconnected from our culture. We must preserve it, and Anandpur Trust is doing a great job in this direction.”

He concluded with a strong message: “We aim to make India a developed nation by 2047, and preserving our culture is an essential part of that journey.”

Strict security deployed

As per sources, strict security arrangements have been made for prime minister's visit. Leaders, including former MPs and MLAs, were allowed entry only after thorough security checks. The checking is being conducted from nearly two kilometers away from the main gate.

The entire area has been on high alert since early afternoon to ensure safety and smooth arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit.

PM's third visit in 4 months

This is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third visit to Madhya Pradesh in 2025. Before visiting Isagarh, he had visited Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur on February 23, where he laid the foundation stone for a Medical and Science Research Institute. On February 24, he inaugurated the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal.
