Rajkumar Rao Visits Indore, Says 'It Feels Like Home' As He Promotes 'Bhool Chuk Maaf'
The visit blended film promotion with a heartfelt cultural connection, illustrating why Indore remains a favorite destination for stars and storytellers alike.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): "Indore feels like home to me—its people, energy, and food always bring back beautiful memories," said Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao, who arrived here on Saturday to promote his upcoming film Bhul Chuk Maaf, alongside co-star Wamiqa Gabbi.
Rao, known for selecting rooted and relatable stories, appeared visibly excited to be back in the city he holds close to his heart. "Whenever I come to Indore, it feels like I've returned to my own people. The love here is unmatched," he said.
As part of the promotional tour, the duo explored the ever-popular 56 Dukan, one of Indore's most iconic food destinations. There, they relished local delicacies, including the classic poha and jalebi, attracting fans and food lovers alike. "Indore ka swaad hi kuch aur hai," said Rao, while Wamiqa added that she had heard a lot about Indore's street food and was thrilled to finally savor it.
This isn't Rao's first brush with the city. He fondly remembered shooting for the horror-comedy Stree in Indore and how the city's vibes played a crucial role in creating the film's charm. "Indore has an infectious energy that adds soul to any story," he shared.
Bhul Chuk Maaf, set to release on Friday, is a family comedy directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film introduces a never-before-seen time-loop concept in Hindi cinema, bringing freshness to the genre. Rao plays a groom stuck in a quirky situation where his wedding day never arrives.
Wamiqa Gabbi, who is venturing into comedy for the first time, said working on this project was a learning experience. "Comedy requires timing and connection, and this script had both. Indore has made this journey even more memorable," she said.
