Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh): Kotwali police on Monday solved a blind murder case by arresting the accused, Ragu Damor, within 24 hours. Police have seized the weapon used in the crime.
As per reports, Tina Damor (26) was murdered by an unidentified person with a sharp weapon on April 26 night. Police registered a case under Section 103(1) of the BNS.
During police’s investigation, deceased Tina’s husband Dilip Damor revealed that his wife had an illicit relationship with a man named Ragu and said he might have murdered Tina.
Police collected evidence from the crime scene and took suspect Ragu in custody.
During interrogation, he confessed to murdering Tina and also accepted that he was having an illicit relationship with Tina.
He said Tina called him to meet her on the night of the incident and pressured him to keep her with him. He refused stating that he is already engaged and about to get married in May.
This led to a heated argument between them and Ragu killed Tina by hitting her on the head, neck, face and behind the ears with a sharp pointed weapon called Pansada, used to extract thorns from date palm trees.
