Madhya Pradesh: MP Gupta Meets NPCI Officials To Discuss Upcoming Nuclear Plant In Mandsaur | FP Image
Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): MP Sudhir Gupta met with senior Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCI) officials on Tuesday in Delhi to discuss the new nuclear power plant coming up in Neemuch district, which is part of Mandsaur parliamentary constituency.
The proposed plant will generate 4,700 MW and require approximately 1,600 acres of land.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has already been signed and a task force has been formed to oversee the project’s progress. The first joint meeting of this task force is expected soon to finalise essential processes related to the plant's establishment.

MP Gupta mentioned that construction of the plant would start in the second week of June, pending necessary water source approvals.
Gupta said this project would boost employment and overall development of the entire region. He said he is keeping close coordination with NPCI officials and government ministers concerning this significant project to ensure there were no teething problems.
He also highlighted the development seen in the constituency over the past 12 years under the Modi government, thanking the relevant ministers and NTPC officials on behalf of the people of Neemuch and Mandsaur.
