Mumbai: A sudden fire broke out in a parked car near Regal Cinema, close to the Gateway of India, on Tuesday night, causing panic among nearby residents and passersby. Officials from the Mumbai Fire Brigade promptly responded and extinguished the fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
As per the information received from the BMC's Disaster Management Cell, the incident occured at around 9.20 pm on Tuesday. Smoke was first noticed coming from the vehicle parked in a lane next to the cinema, which quickly escalated into a fire, alerting nearby passersby.

The Fire Brigade rushed a fire engine to the spot, and officials successfully extinguished the blaze by 9:42 pm. The car was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported, confirmed the official. Fire officials have stated that the exact cause of the fire is still unknown and is under investigation.
