Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 28-year-old software engineer died after suffering a suspected heart attack while driving on Sunday, just as he was on his way to meet his one-month-old son in Indore. The tragic incident took place near Pigdamber under the jurisdiction of Kishanganj police station, leaving his family in shock.
The deceased, Adarsh Bhalse, a resident of Khargone, was travelling with his parents to his in-laws’ home in Dwarkapuri, Indore. As the car approached Pigdamber area, Adarsh reportedly suffered a heart attack mid-drive. He collapsed over the steering wheel, causing the car to veer off, crash into a divider, and cross into the wrong lane. Despite the impact, his parents — his mother in the front seat and father at the back — miraculously escaped without injuries.
Passersby rushed unconscious Adarsh to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Strikingly, there were no external injuries or visible trauma on his body, indicating a sudden internal medical episode.
Adarsh’s uncle, Mukesh Bhalse, said that the young engineer had married in Dwarkapuri around a year-and-a-half ago and had become a father just over a month back. “He was so happy. He was coming to meet his son after weeks, with great excitement,” he said.
Family history of heart disease
Mukesh revealed a genetic predisposition to cardiac issues in the family. “All men in our family, including myself, have suffered from heart-related ailments. I’ve had heart surgery, and many of our male relatives have succumbed to cardiac problems,” he shared. The family remains under regular medical supervision due to this pattern.
Worked remotely for US firm
Adarsh held a diploma in Mechatronics and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering. He worked remotely for a US-based company from his home in Khargone. He also had a history of neurological complications and was under treatment at AIIMS for a blood clot in his leg, relatives said.
The tragic incident has cast a pall over both his native and in-laws’ families, especially as the visit was meant to be a joyful reunion with his newborn son.
