Indore Municipal Corp Cracks Down On Illegal Constructions & Hoardings; Government Land Cleared For Smart City Project
The operation focused on a government plot allocated for the Smart City Project at MOG Line in Zone No 15.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): To reclaim government land and maintain civic order, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) launched action against illegal constructions and hoardings on Thursday. Following instructions from municipal commissioner Shivam Verma, the removal gang took action against encroachments in various parts of the city.
The operation focused on a government plot allocated for the Smart City Project at MOG Line in Zone No 15. Over 35 makeshift garages had been unlawfully constructed on this land which were demolished. The corporation team, led by deputy commissioner Lata Agarwal, deployed JCB machines and cleared the area.

Building officer Sunil Singh Jadoun, assistant engineer Saurabh Maheshwari and removal assistant Bablu Kalyane along with other corporation staff, were present during the demolition. The team also dealt with unauthorised advertisements. As part of the operation, a 15x15-foot illegal hoarding on Airport Road was dismantled and removed.
The deputy commissioner stated that removing illegal hoardings is part of a broader initiative to ensure the city remains orderly and free of unauthorised structures. "We are acting on the instructions of the municipal commissioner to remove all encroachments on government land and unauthorised hoardings. This is an ongoing effort to maintain the integrity of public spaces," she stated.
