Indore: Extensive Preparations Made For Moong Procurement In District; Collector Asheesh Singh Hold A Review Meeting | Moong Dal
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The district administration has made an extensive preparation for the procurement of Moong at Minimum Support price (MSP) in the district. The date of starting the purchase of Moong on MSP has not been disclosed yet.
However, an important joint meeting of the District Administration, Krishi Upaj Mandi officials, officials of farmers' organisations and trade representatives was held on Friday under the chairmanship of collector Asheesh Singh.
The collector issued necessary guidelines to make the process of moong procurement transparent, smooth and farmer-friendly. He directed officials to ensure all the arrangements in time for the convenience of farmers in the mandis.

Collector Singh clearly said that to ensure that farmers do not face any kind of inconvenience at the procurement centres, large weighing scales should be installed in the mandis and transparency should be maintained in the weighing process. He also directed officials to pay special attention to the quality of basic facilities like cleanliness, drinking water in the mandis premises.
Collector Singh also discuss about the process of shifting the Chhawani Anaj Mandi. It was briefed that the process of shifting the market to a more accessible and suitable place is progressing rapidly. This will facilitate the movement of traders and farmers and will speed up the procurement work.
Problems related to the operation of the market were also raised in the meeting by farmer organisations and trade representatives, which were resolved on the spot. Additional collectors Gaurav Bainal and Rinkesh Vaishya were also present in the meeting. Agricultural Produce Market secretary Naresh Parmar gave detailed information about the administrative preparations related to procurement.
Collector Singh assured that the district administration will make every effort to get the farmers a fair price for their produce on time and any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in the procurement process of any produce.
