Indore: DAVV Among 21 Varsities Chosen For University Connect Hub | Anand Shivre
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya has been chosen among an elite group of 21 universities in India to establish a University Connect Hub, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi— Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
The MoU was formally signed on June 3 in Delhi by director general, RIS Prof Sachin Chaturvedi and DAVV vice-chancellor’s representative Prof Kanhaiya Ahuja, head, School of Economics. The signing event was witnessed by the member secretary of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) New Delhi and vice chancellors and their representatives from various invited universities, highlighting the strategic importance of this academic alliance.
This initiative aims to create a structured platform for academic research and policy engagement, strengthening the integration of scholarly insights into national and global development strategies. The University Connect Hub at Devi Ahilya University will serve as a centre for collaborative research, faculty exchanges, high-level policy dialogues, and knowledge-sharing sessions on critical topics such as trade, development finance, economic integration, and climate change.
This was followed with address by the President, Republic of Paraguay Santiago Pena Palacios, and Pabitra Margerita, minister of state ministry of external affairs.
Ahuja is coordinator
Ahuja has been appointed as the coordinator for University Connect Hub at DAVV. Prior to this, Ahuja also served as a steering committee member of the G20 Connect programme and not only coordinated G20 programmes in 11 universities across India but also delivered lectures on various aspects of G20.
