Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Bajarbattu Sammelan was organized in Indore on the eve of Rangpanchami with a grand Shobha Yatra (procession). The event witnessed Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya dressed as Falahari Baba of Pitareshwar Dham, riding a chariot through the streets.

The minister adorned a full attire with a wig, a fake beard, makeup and costume. He even held a trishool (Trident) in his hand. A video of the minister getting ready and getting his prosthetics done has surfaced the social media and is doing rounds.

Talking to media after the procession, Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya praised Indore's festive spirit, saying, "Rangpanchami here is unmatched. The entire city comes alive, with people applying colors and greeting each other, whether they know them or not. This is the beauty of Indore."

Colorful Procession and Cultural Performances

The Shobha Yatra was a spectacle of colors, music, and dance. People danced to the beats of DJ bands, while artists performed Bhagoria dance, Bhangra, and Gidda. Young girls, dressed in traditional attire with turbans and swords, marched alongside. Saints and members of the transgender community also participated in chariots and buggies. Several tableaux depicting cultural themes were also part of the procession.

Poetry Event Steals the Show

After the procession, a humorous poetry session was held. Renowned poets, including Padma Shri Surendra Dubey, Johnny Vairagi, Dinesh Desi, Bhuvan Mohini, and Chetan Charchit, entertained the audience. The event was hosted by Shashikant Yadav from Dewas.
