Uttar Pradesh: Several areas near the Ganga river in Uttar Pradesh have been waterlogged due to flooding in the river, followed by heavy rains in the last few days. Meanwhile, an UP sub-inspector has become an Internet sensation when he filmed himself offering flowers and milk to the waterlogged residents outside his house, which is situated near the Ganga river. In another video, the cop was also seen swimming through the floodwaters.
The videos are from UP's Prayagraj, where Sub-inspector Chandradeep Nishad was seen offering rose petals and milk to floodwaters outside his house, citing that it's a holy Ganga river that has come to our doorstep. He posted the video on his Instagram handle. In another video, he also saw diving into the risen water level, which also invaded his house; he can be seen chanting mantras and swimming through the floodwaters.
