Dewas Bus Accident: Passenger Bus Carrying Pilgrims From Rajasthan Overturns, 35 People Injured |
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A passenger bus carrying pilgrims from Rajasthan lost control and overturned on late Sunday night on an inclined road of Katlay Ghat in Dewas. 35 people have been reportedly injured in the accident.
According to information, the bus carrying pilgrims from Udaipur Rajasthan lost control and overturned at Katlay Ghat between Kannaud Kusmania. About 35 people have been injured in the accident. Two of them have shoulder fractures. Most of the injured were discharged after first aid. There has been no loss of life in the accident.
On receiving the information, police and ambulance from Kannaud reached the spot and the injured were brought to the government hospital of Kannaud.
Most of the passengers were residents of Udaipur
The injured were rushed to the hospital with the help of ambulance and dial 100 vehicle. Arrangements for the rest of the passengers were also made by the administration late at night.
Kannaud BMO Dr. Lokesh Meena said that most of the passengers had minor injuries, no one sustained serious injuries. Information revealed, most of the passengers are from Udaipur area of Rajasthan. These people had set out to visit Haridwar, Chitrakoot and other religious places.
There are three major ghats around Kannaud. Of these, Kalwar Ghat is on Indore-Betul highway while Janjalkhedi and Katlay Ghat are on Kannaud-Ashta road.
