Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Daly College of Business Management (DCBM) on Monday marked the grand beginning of its week-long induction programme, ‘Genesis’, for the new batch of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students.
The programme, designed to introduce students to the college’s academic and cultural ethos, was graced by distinguished guests who inspired young minds on their first day.
The inaugural ceremony was a testament to the institution's commitment to holistic development. The event commenced with the formal welcome of the chief guests: Anurag, IG Rural and Dharmendra Jain, CHRO & CFO of Yash Technologies. The programme officially began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a soulful prayer dance that filled the auditorium with a sense of peace and purpose.
The ceremony also served as a platform to recognise and reward academic excellence. In a proud moment, scholarship awards were presented to several meritorious students, celebrating their hard work and dedication.
This was followed by a comprehensive academic orientation led by Principal, Dr Sonal Sisodia who provided new students with a clear roadmap for their journey at DCBM, outlining the curriculum, faculty support and the expectations of a rigorous management education.
The chief guests delivered powerful and encouraging speeches, sharing valuable insights that extended beyond the classroom. Anurag spoke about the importance of discipline, integrity and social responsibility in building a successful career. Dharmendra Jain provided a pragmatic overview of the modern corporate world, encouraging students to be agile, innovative and ready to meet the industry's evolving demands. Their words resonated deeply, instilling a sense of purpose and motivation in the new batch.
The highlight of the day was the unique plantation drive ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. As part of this heart-warming initiative, students and their mothers together planted saplings, symbolising the nurturing bond between a mother and her child. This activity underscored the college's dedication to instilling strong family values alongside its focus on academic excellence and social responsibility.
The day's proceedings were skilfully compered by Rishika Jaiswal and Ashmeet Kaur Varma, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow. The ‘Genesis’ induction programme concluded its first day having successfully laid a strong foundation for the new BBA batch, preparing them for an enriching and transformative educational journey.
