Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Mock Drill Held At Indore Airport

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): To check the preparedness and response time, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) mock drill was conducted at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International airport on Wednesday.
It was conducted by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). This is a two-day exercise.
A mock drill was conducted at Cargo Terminal of the airport to activate team due to the impact on 500 passengers at the city Airport as a result of gas leakage in Pritampur Industrial Area.
In the drill, rescue procedures were demonstrated by Airport Authority of India (AAI), NDMA, SDMA, NDRF, SDRF, BSF, CISF, CRPF and Aapda Mitras so that it could help in dealing with actual incidents in the future. On this occasion of Airport Director VK Seth.
Earlier, for the preparation of organizing the mock drill, video conferencing was organised on November 28 under the chairmanship of Home Secretary (Madhya Pradesh) to discuss guidelines for conducting CBRN table top and mock exercise on both days.
