90k New Power Connections Granted In Malwa-Nimar Region In Past 7 Months | Pinterest
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a move towards improving power accessibility, Madhya Pradesh’s Western Zone Electricity Distribution Company provided over 90,000 new electricity service connections across the Malwa-Nimar region in the first seven months of this year.
Of the total 90,000 connections, Indore district topped the list with 29,000 new electricity connections issued between January and July this year. Ujjain followed with 9,000 connections, while Ratlam came third with 5,200 connections.
Other districts across the region recorded between 1,400 and 4,300 new service connections during the same period.

In line with the state’s push for digital governance, the company is also facilitating new connections through online platforms such as the Urjas app, Urjas portal and its official website mpwz.co.in. This has enabled consumers to apply and receive electricity connections without physically visiting company offices.
West Discom managing director Anup Kumar Singh said that the company was operating efficiently to meet consumer demands and issuing new connections based on eligibility and demand across all districts and circles.
