Delhi: A video has surfaced on the internet showing a scary attempt of suicide carried out by a young woman near the Shadipur Metro station in Delhi, reportedly on Monday evening. The viral video, making rounds on Tuesday, shows a woman trying to jump off from a metro bridge. However, her attempt was foiled after a daring rescue done by the metro officials and the Delhi Police.

Viral Video Shows Suicide Attempt & Daring Rescue

In the viral video shot by a person from the traffic near the metro bridge, one can see the young woman near the metro bridge railing. She has her phone in her hand, probably arguing with someone on the call as seen from far away in the clip. A metro train can be seen halted at a distance, witnessing the woman's dangerous actions that could end up in a metro tragedy.

In the other clip, she can be seen attempting the jump, however, she stops herself from jumping off. Fortunately, within a few moments, officials from the Delhi police and the metro reached the spot and nabbed the woman, which foiled her suicide attempt. She was then taken away from the spot by the officials to facilitate metro movement in the area.

No Reports Of Action Taken In The Case

Quick actions by the Delhi police and metro officials saved the woman averting a very scary tragedy in broad daylight. However, there is no update on the identity of the woman or about any action taken against her by the Delhi police or Metro officials.
