Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, an unidentified assailant attacked an employee of the Bhulakshmi Mata temple in Saidabad by pouring a chemical substance on him, leaving him seriously injured. The attack, which took place on Friday, March 14, was caught on CCTV, helping authorities piece together the sequence of events.

According to the footage, the suspect entered the temple premises and inquired about Narsing Rao, also known as Gopi, who works as an accountant at the temple. As Rao was seated, the assailant suddenly pouring a chemical powder on his head before quickly fleeing the scene. Startled by the attack, locals rushed to Rao’s aid and immediately took him to a private hospital for medical treatment.
The Saidabad police have registered a case and launched an investigation based on the CCTV footage. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the suspect. Authorities are also probing possible motives behind the attack, including personal enmity or disputes related to temple affairs.
Residents and devotees of the temple have expressed shock and concern over the incident, urging the police to ensure swift action against the perpetrator. While Rao remains under medical supervision, officials are yet to determine the exact nature of the chemical used in the attack.
The police have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in identifying the attacker. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
