Jhansi: Massive storm and heavy rain that hit many districts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday night wreaked havoc. Somewhere trees were uprooted and somewhere hoardings collapsed. During this, 30 people were also killed. At the same time, more than 100 parrots died due to the strong storm in Jhansi's Singar village, while more than 50 parrots were injured.
When the villagers saw this scene in the morning, there was a stir. The forest department was informed about this. On receiving the information, the forest department team reached the spot and took stock of the situation. After this they started the work of burying the dead parrots in a pit. A video of the dead parrots scattered on the ground is making rounds on the internet.
Local villagers and environmentalists have expressed concern about this incident. They say that the havoc of constantly changing weather and unseasonal storms is now taking the lives of birds.The whole district is shocked by this incident.
