In a sharp rebuttal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in the Lok Sabha today, Congress general secretary and Lok Sabha MP KC Venugopal launched a scathing attack, describing the address as a "tape recorder" performance devoid of fresh ideas and substantive solutions.
Venugopal accused the Prime Minister of failing to address the genuine concerns of the Indian people, stating that Modi's speech was more focused on personal attacks against the Congress leadership rather than providing a roadmap for the country's future.
"PM Modi should understand that people want to know about their future and the government's plan to rescue the country from the current economic and social challenges," Venugopal said. He emphasized that citizens have moved beyond the political rhetoric of 2014 and are seeking concrete solutions to pressing national issues.
In a direct comparison, the Congress leader described Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi's previous day's speech as a beacon of hope, praising it for offering a clear vision for India's youth and raising critical questions about economic security, national integrity, and the electoral system.
