'RG Kar Incident Is Not Gang Rape': CBI Informs Calcutta High Court
The central agency informed Justice Tirthankar Ghosh of Calcutta High Court that presently they are probing involvement of those people to had tried to cover up the event of rape and murder of the junior medic.

Kolkata: The CBI on Friday had informed Calcutta High Court that the rape and murder at RG Kar hospital on August 9 was not a gangrape.
The central agency informed Justice Tirthankar Ghosh of Calcutta High Court that presently they are probing involvement of those people to had tried to cover up the event of rape and murder of the junior medic.
Asked about a particular timeline that the central agency would take to complete the investigation, to which the DSG appearing from the CBI’s side said that a particular timeline cannot be specified as the CBI is investigating various aspects of the crime.
According to the High Court sources, Justice Tirthankar Ghosh had asked CBI to produce a list of witnesses examined by them and also the case diary they had received from the Kolkata police when the central agency took over the investigation.

The court also asked the central sleuths to mention the hurdles they are facing while probing the matter.
Meanwhile, a status report has been submitted by the central agency at Sealdah court over their present investigation. However, the parents of the victim said that they have ‘faith’ in the judiciary.
