Punjab News: Houses Of 3 Women Drug Peddlers Demolished In Muktsar
Illegally constructed houses by the trio accused were bulldozed as a part of ongoing ``war against drugs’’ by a joint team of district administration and the state police, reports said.

Chandigarh: Illegally constructed houses of three alleged women drug peddlers were razed by the district administration workforce in the village Jhorar of Punjab’s Muktsar district on Tuesday.
According to media reports, the trio drug peddlers faced multiple cases under NDPS Act – Rani faced eight cases, Charanjit Kaur, six cases while Satto faced five cases.
Illegally constructed houses by the trio accused were bulldozed as a part of ongoing ``war against drugs’’ by a joint team of district administration and the state police, reports said.
Jhorar village is located about 13-km from Malout town of the Muktsar district and is notorious for drug-related crimes.

According to reports, it was the third such demolition drive in the district, the first being in town of Gidderbaha on May 8 when two such buildings, belonging to the drug peddlers were razed and second in village Madrassa on March 12 when a house, belonging to a drug peddler was razed, this year.
The demolition drive was undertaken under the supervision of top district administration and police officials.
