In a shocking incident in Najibabad, a retired Public Works Department (PWD) engineer allegedly fired multiple rounds at a stray dog after it allegedly barked at him. The firing incident has triggered panic in the locality. The entire incident was captured on CCTV and has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread condemnation.
According to reports, the engineer, enraged by the dog's barking, fired five rounds in the residential colony of Savitri Enclave under Najibabad police station limits. As locals protested the act, the accused locked himself inside his house. A police complaint has been filed in the matter.
The incident has sparked anger among residents, who are demanding the cancellation of the engineer’s revolver license and strict legal action against him.
