Malihabad Tragedy: Youth Dies In Road Accident, Grief-Stricken Friend Dies By Suicide Minutes Later

In a devastating incident in Malihabad, two friends, Manish Kumar and Sagar , from Sarawan village, died in a sequence of events on Wednesday morning.

The friends were walking along the Hardoi-Lucknow Road, playfully pushing each other, when one push caused Manish to fall onto the road. A truck approaching from behind immediately ran him over, resulting in his instant death.

Witnessing his friend's tragic end, Sagar became distraught. He initially attempted to jump in front of another truck, but the driver managed to avoid him. Overwhelmed by grief, Sagar then ran towards the Faridipur railway crossing and jumped in front of a train, taking his own life.

Malihabad Station House Officer Surendra Singh Bhati confirmed that both bodies have been sent for post mortem. While no formal complaint has been filed by the families yet, the truck driver has been apprehended approximately 13 kilometers from the accident site and is currently being interrogated.
