Mahua Moitra Blows Kiss After Collapsing During INDIA Bloc’s ‘Vote Chori’ Protest In Delhi; VIDEO Sparks Social Media Buzz

New Delhi, August 11: A video from the INDIA bloc’s “Vote Chori” protest held in New Delhi on Monday has taken social media and the internet by storm. The video shows Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra collapsing after fainting during the demonstration, only to later be seen blowing a kiss towards the crowd or cameras.

Mahua Faints And Collapses

Mahua Moitra fainted and collapsed during the protest which was held by the opposition MPs in Delhi against the Election Commission of India (ECI) after she was detained by Delhi Police. A video of the incident was shared by the opposition MPs on social media.

Mahua is seen in the video sitting inside the bus and the other female MPs are seen tying to revive her and one of the detained MPs is shooting a video. However, Mahua suddenly looks out of the bus window in the middle of the video and her facial expression changes. She is seen smiling and blowing a kiss at the camera or the people present outside the bus.

Collapse And Kiss Controversy

Mahua Moitra's dramatic collapse, followed by the kiss has become the most discussed moment from the entire protest. While some supporters expressed concern for the MP’s health, a section of social media users accused her of 'acting' and staging the fainting episode for attention. Memes, comments and debates have flooded platforms like X and Instagram.

Social Media Reacts

One of the users reacted to the video and said, "On camera: Exhausted, Drained and Distressed. Off camera: Grinning and Relaxed. As fresh as a rose! That’s Drama Queen Mahua Moitra for you!!"

'Oscar Winning Performance'

Another said, "Delhi Police ko Rijhate Mahua Moitra." Few users are also demanding Oscar for Mahua's acting and said, "Well deserved for Oskar" and "Oscar do ise."

One of her supporters said, "Delhi Police manhandled TMC MP Mahua Moitra, muzzled her, the reason she fainted. Vote Chor BJP and ECI why are you scared if you haven’t done anything wrong? Why harm women MPs."

'AI Generated Or Edited?'

Her supporters are asking if the video is AI generated or edited. However, the video is not AI generated and the video is shared by TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sagarika Ghose on her official social media account and Mahua is seen in the video blowing the kiss in the middle of the footage.

Mahua Moitra has not issued an official statement on the viral video and the TMC has not responded to the allegations.

Opposition MPs were detained by the Delhi Police as they were protesting against the EC over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). In the video, other MPs, including Priyanka Gandhi, were also present inside the police bus.
