Banswara: A shocking incident surfaced from Rajasthan's Banswara district, where a man allegedly murdered a woman with a sword in public on Tuesday. Leela Tabiar was sitting at Kalinjara bus stand when Mahipal Baghora attacked her. The incident was captured on CCTV. A disturbing video of the incident also surfaced online.
In the video, it could be seen that Baghora came in a car with a sword in his hand. He immediately rushed towards Tabiar and attacked her with the sword. The accused immediately fled from the spot. The woman was severely injured in the attack. She was rushed to a hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries.

According to reports, Baghora was the ex-lover of the woman. Tabiar's marriage took place about eight years ago. However, she reportedly got divorced. She then came in touch with the accused, and soon they started dating each other. After Tabiar became a government teacher in 2023, disputes started arising between the two, and their relationship ended.
It was reportedly the second time Baghora attacked his ex-lover. According to a report by ETV Bharat, as Bagghora tried to flee, his car collided with a tree. He left his car behind and ran away.
After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and seized the car. The deceased was identified after the police uploaded her photo on social media. A few hours later, the woman was identified as Leela Tabiar.
"At the bus stand in Kalinjara town, a teacher was attacked with a sword by her former lover. The teacher passed away while being taken to the hospital. Police teams have been formed, and a search for the accused is underway," Banswara SP Harshvardhan Singh told reporters.
Tabiar was a second-grade teacher of Sanskrit and worked at the Government Higher Secondary School Chhiyamhudi in Sajjangarh block, reported ETV Bharat.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
