French National Allegedly Raped In Rajasthan's Udaipur, Accused Absconding
A French tourist was allegedly was allegedly raped in Rajasthan's Udaipur on Monday. The accused is currently absconding. An FIR has been lodged into the matter.

Udaipur: A French tourist was allegedly was allegedly raped in Rajasthan's Udaipur on Monday. According to reports, she came to Udaipur from Delhi on Sunday, June 22. The accused is currently on the run.
According to a report published in Navbharat Times, the woman went to the cafe for a party where she met the accused. He befriended her during the party. On the pretext of helping her in exploring the city, the accused took her to a rented apartment. He allegedly raped the French citizen there.
The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Badgaam Police Station. The rape survivor approached the police and filed a complaint. On the basis of her complaint, an FIR has been lodged in the matter.

In the police complaint, the woman alleged the accused came to her table in the cafe and promised to help her in sightseeing, according to police officer Puran Singh Rajpurohit as reported by the media house.
She further told the police that her phone's battery was empty and she repeatedly asked the accused that she wanted to return to her hotel, but he did not listen to her. After reaching the rented apartment in the Sukher area, the accused allegedly raped her.
A detailed investigation has been initiated into the matter. A manhunt operation has also been launched to nab the accused.
