Saharanpur: A disturbing incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur, where two local women allegedly attacked and dragged an elderly widow, Premo Devi, in broad daylight. The shocking act of violence was captured on camera, which has since gone viral on social media.
The incident reportedly took place in the village of Datouli Rangad. The disturbing video shows the old woman being held by both her legs and being dragged on the ground, while another woman can be seen holding both her hands. Bystanders can be seen trying to intervene in the 33-second-long video. The reason behind the assault is yet to be known.
Police Reacts
Police has reacted to the viral video on micro-blogging website X. "In connection with this matter, necessary legal action is being taken by registering a relevant case at the Dehat Kotwali police station," Saharanpur police said on X.
