Katihar (Bihar), August 04: A shocking video has erupted from a government hospital in Bihar's Katihar, where a doctor reportedly misbehaved with a female patient. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the doctor is yelling and also threatening the patient of hitting her with his shoes if she does keep quiet.

The doctor can be heard in the video saying, "Chup Raho, Nahi Toh Muh Par Itna Joota Marenge." The doctor has been identified as Dr. Sushant and he was caught on camera threatening and insulting the woman inside the hospital. He also threatened her of sending her to jail.

Woman Came for Treatment After Injury

There are reports that the victim is a resident of Soria village in Dandkhora block. She had sustained multiple injuries on her hand during a fight in her village. Seeking medical help, she went to Sadar Hospital in Katihar for treatment.

According to the woman, the doctor prescribed an X-ray for only one part of her injured hand and ignored other visible injuries. When she requested additional X-rays, the doctor reportedly lost his temper and began yelling at her.

He used abusive language, threatened to beat her with his shoe and warned her and her husband of jail time. The woman’s husband recorded the entire incident on his mobile phone.

Doctor Claims He Was Provoked

In the viral video, the doctor can be heard threatening the patient. He is also seen claiming that the woman verbally abused him first and he only reacted after that. However, netizens and local residents have criticised his actions, saying that such behaviour is unacceptable from any medical professional.
