Nanjangud: A video has emerged from Shiramalli village in Nanjangud taluk, Karnataka, showing a woman misbehaving by removing her saree, outside her house, in the middle of a road in front of a police officer who had arrived to collect information regarding a complaint filed by her, according to a report by the News Karnataka portal.
The woman has been identified as Ratnamma, and the video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
Complaint Regarding Boycott by Villagers
Reportedly, Ratnamma’s family has been boycotted in Shiramalli village. In response, Ratnamma held a press conference in Mysuru to express her distress over the situation. She also filed a complaint with the Superintendent of Police’s office.
When a police officer from Hullahalli Police Station visited Ratnamma’s house on Friday to gather information regarding the matter, she committed the act.
In the video, Ratnamma can be seen filming on her mobile phone while speaking to the police. She then suddenly removed her saree, handed the phone to a person standing nearby, and asked them to continue recording. The footage also shows her pushing the police officer. Throughout the incident, the officer remained calm. The reason behind her erratic behaviour is not yet known.
