Chhattisgarh DySP Booked For Sexual Assault After False Promise Of Marriage
The police complaint was filed against DySP Vinod Minj on the allegations that he sexually assaulted a 21-year-old girl residing in Jamul police station area on the pretext of false promise to marry her.

Raipur: A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) posted at the SC&ST police station, Durg has been booked under the charges of sexual assault.
The police complaint was filed against DySP Vinod Minj on the allegations that he sexually assaulted a 21-year-old girl residing in Jamul police station area on the pretext of false promise to marry her.
He sexually exploited her, later on when she insisted, he refused to marry her and threatened her with serious life consequences, the girl complained.
After he declined to marry her, she made an inquiry and got information that the man was already married and father of two children, the police said.

The victim girl said she met the DSP in the year 2024. Gradually, the closeness between the two increased. And when the DySP proposed for marriage that he was a bachelor, she agreed to marry her. Later on the DySP sexually exploited her and refused to marry, the girl complained.
However, in the case, no arrests were made till the report got filed.
