Raipur: Congress organized massive protests across the state against the CBI raids conducted on the premises of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and the leaders associated with the Congress party. Apart from burning effigies of CBI, ED, and ruling BJP government, the Congress party addressed a joint press conference in the Congress State Headquarters Raipur on Thursday.
In a joint press conference held at the Rajiv Bhavan on Thursday, ex-CM Baghel raised several questions over the sanctity of the raids, and termed them politically motivated. ED is working on the directions of BJP leaders sitting in the government at Centre breaching all the standard practice, violating the constitutional guidelines to intimidate the opposition leaders.

Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal are the owners and mastermind operators of the Mahadev betting app has taken the citizenship of Vanuatu and freely operate the app, setting up new businesses sitting in Dubai and the government failed to arrest the both. We demand immediate arrest of both the accused, Baghel said.
Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal openly organize the recital programme of storyteller Pradeep Mishra in Dubai. If the government wanted to arrest the duo, it could have taken help from Mishra, who is presently carrying out a recital programme in Surguja.
Mishra could have chanted a mantra and immediately brought him back to India from Dubai, but that too could not happen.
Actually the government want to intimidate, defame and torture the opposition leaders so it is carrying out ED and CBI raids, Baghel alleged.
The former CM levelled serious allegations against CBI and said, in his absence his official residence was raided, CBI Officers came out from his residence with bags meanwhile at his Bhilai residence where his family members including the female members reside the raids were carried out in absence of any female officers, Baghel alleged.

He accused CBI officers of taking original copies of his ancestral properties, which was already probed by then Raman Singh government and nothing illegal found.
Actually, the raids are conducted in consideration of Prime Minister Modi’s visit on March 30. As the CBI and ED failed to find anything illegal, they are trying to implicate in a false case so that the content can be created for Modi’s speech, ex-CM Baghel alleged.
