BJP Leader Ateeq Pathan Beats Woman & Her Son With Slipper, Stick In Middle Of Road In Greater Noida (VIDEO)

Greater Noida, July 01: In a shocking incident, a video surfaced on social media in which Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ateeq Pathan was seen allegedly beating a woman and her son with a slipper in the middle of the road in Greater Noida. The video of the incident is doing rounds on social media and the internet users are criticising the BJP leader for his act. The police took action against him after the video of the incident went viral on the internet.

There are reports that the incident occurred on Monday (June 30) in Bilaspur town of Dankaur area. As per reports, a woman who has been identified as Sakina who hailed from Assam has been living in Bilaspur for the past 15 years and works as a daily wage labourer. She was involved in a dispute with another woman in her neighbourhood over installing electric wires.

During the argument, BJP leader Ateeq Pathan, who is the Mandal Minister of Kasna Mandal, reportedly got involved. According to the complaint, instead of calming the situation, he started beating Sakina’s son, Safikurrahman, who had come to intervene. When Sakina tried to protect her son, the BJP leader allegedly beat both of them with a slipper and a stick.

The entire incident was caught on a camera by a bystander and the video soon spread on social media. The viral video led to strong criticism from the public. They started demanding strict action against the accused.

Police Take Action

Dankaur Police said that the police took note of the viral video and have taken action under breach of peace charges against the accused. However, no FIR for assault has been registered in connection with the matter.

The Police reacted to the viral video on social media and said, "In the referenced case, the Dankaur police station took immediate action, arrested the accused, and sent them to jail."

BJP’s Reaction

BJP Mandal President of Kasna Dinesh Bhati responded by saying that it was a dispute between two parties and one of them had approached Mandal Minister Ateeq Pathan for help. He claimed that when Ateeq tried to question the other side, one person ran away while the others grabbed the BJP leader. He also stated that both parties have since settled the matter.

Opposition Reaction

Aazad Samaj Party - Kanshi Ram shared the video and criticised the saffron party. It said, "In Greater Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, a BJP Kasna Mandal Minister brutally beat a laborer woman, Sakina, and her son, Safiqurrahman, with slippers and sticks. The same BJP that chants “Save the Daughter” from the stage has its leaders wreaking havoc on daughters and their families on the streets!"

The party also said, "This incident is not just an attack on a woman but an exposure of BJP’s hypocritical morality and the arrogance of power. The viral video clearly shows how BJP leaders treat the law as their personal fiefdom."
