Ahmedabad: Days after the deadly Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, a new video surfaced showing students of BJ Medical College escaping from their hostel rooms to save their lives following the tragic incident. Medical students jumped out of balconies from the second and third floors of the their hostel with the help of bedsheets.
In the visuals, the fire and a huge envelope of black smoke could be seen billowing out from the crash site next to the hostel. Notably, the plane crashed into one of the hostels of the medical college.

In the deadly Air India crash, over 270 people lost their lives, including 241 passengers and crew members onboard the ill-fated AI171 flight. The London-Bound Air India.
The flight was under the command of Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, an experienced Line Training Captain with 8,200 flight hours, and First Officer Clive Kunder, who had logged 1,100 flight hours. The plane departed from Runway 23 at 13:39 local time and issued a Mayday distress call to Air Traffic Control before all communications were lost.
At the time of the incident there were 242 people onboard, including 12 crew members. Only one passenger, named Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, survived. Several students of the BJ Medical college also lost their lives after the plane crashed into the building.
