'Wait For This Film Guys': Imtiaz Ali Praises Anurag Kashyap's Nishaanchi Starring Aaishvary Thackeray

Anurag Kashyap's next film Nishaanchi, is surely creating a good pre-release buzz. The teaser and the song Dear Country are being loved by one and all. Now, recently, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali took to his Instagram story to share the song Dear Country and he praised the movie.

Imtiaz wrote, "Wait for this film guys!!! @anuragkashyap10 at his best!! stunning performance @itsmonikapanwar @aaishvarythackeray (unbelievable) @raghav45 (sic)." Check out the post below...

A few days ago, Sara Ali Khan has praised the teaser of the film. She had posted on her Instagram story, “It’s been almost a week and I’m still obsessed with this! What presence yaar my vedu… Patakha you are.”

Nishaanchi is a touted to be gritty masala entertainer that we all expect from Anurag Kashyap. While talking about the movie, the filmmaker had told The Hollywood Reporter India, "I was looking for a studio that trusted me to do that, whole heartedly. Amazon MGM loved it, believed in it, and became the wall behind us. This is exactly what happened with all my films that people love - they were backed by great producers and great studios."

"It was like going back to my early days of filmmaking. We’re excited, nervous, and can’t wait to share the film with the audience to experience, when it releases in theatres this September," he added.

Nishaanchi Release Date

Nishaanchi, which marks the debut of late politician Bal Thackeray's grand son Aaishvary Thackeray, is slated to release on September 12, 2025.
