A few days ago, senior journalist, Komal Nahta, shared a video on YouTube claiming that Sky Force makers did block bookings for the film. He also gave a hint about an upcoming film's block booking. While he didn't take the name, but people started speculating that he is talking about Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava.

According to the makers, Sky Force has collected Rs. 129.95 crore at the box office till now, and Chhaava in three days has collected Rs. 121.43 crore. Now, while talking to News 18, Sky Force director, Sandeep Kewlani, has spoken about these allegations of block bookings.

He stated, “As for Chhaava or Sky Force, our collections are genuinely organic and there have been no block bookings. This is the audience’s love. It has been nearly 20 days since the picture (Sky Force) was released, and even today I get messages daily on Instagram and Twitter from viewers who have loved the film. Our work is over once the film is made and has reached the public."

"How much a film is earning is not something you will remember in the long term. If your favourite film is Munna Bhai and I ask you about its box office collection, you won’t know today. In the long run, the film’s collection doesn’t matter. The impact of the film and how long it stays with you becomes important," the filmmaker added.

Sandeep compared the box office collection report to a vegetable market. The filmmaker said, “If you want to inform people about a film’s collection, do it after it completes its theatrical run. Right now, there are hourly reports. It’s like a vegetable market. These trade people and YouTubers who think they are critics share 2-hourly reports. Is this the share market? I laugh at it. Is this the direction that we’re moving in? Will we get 15-minute reports in the future? What does the audience care? They will come to the theatre for entertainment."

While Sky Force theatrial run is almost over, with a collection of Rs. 129. 95 crore, the movie is called an average grosser at the box office. Meanwhile, Chhaava, which is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 130 crore, is on its way to become a hit.
