Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu was recently honoured for completing 15 successful years in the film industry, and it was a heartwarming moment that stood out - her former mother-in-law, veteran actress Amala Akkineni, was seen smiling proudly in the audience.

In the clip, Samantha is seen cutting a tiered celebratory cake on stage, joined by the hosts, as the audience applauds. She then delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing her gratitude to the Telugu film industry.

"The Telugu film industry has given me everything. Ide naa karma bhumi (This is where I belong). I promise to always put the Telugu audience first," the actress said.

Samantha, who made her debut in 2010 with Ye Maaya Chesave, has since become one of the most prominent actresses in South Indian cinema. Samantha and Amala Akkineni's son, actor Naga Chaitanya, tied the knot in a lavish two-day wedding in Goa in 2017 but split after four years of marriage in 2021.

According to media reports, Samantha is currently in a relationship with her Citadel: Honey Bunny director Raj Nidimoru. While the two have not officially confirmed their relationship, the actress has been sharing photos with Raj on her Instagram handle, subtly hinting at it.

Recently, reports also suggested that the duo are planning to take the next step in their relationship and move in together.

A few weeks ago, Samantha also visited Tirupati Balaji Temple with Raj. She offered prayers before the release of Subham, her first venture as a producer, which was released in the theatres on May 9.
