Saiyaara passes Monday test
According to a report in Sacnilk, while Monday saw the expected dip, Saiyaara still earned an impressive Rs 22.5 crore. The film recorded an overall 41.87 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday (July 21) with night shows alone peaking at 59.47 per cent.
With this feat, Saiyaara has climbed to the seventh position among the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2025, overtaking Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday's Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs 92 crore) and Sunny Deol's Jaat (Rs 88 crore). It now trails Salman Khan's Sikandar (Rs 110 crore approx) and Akshay’s Sky Force (Rs 112 crore approx).
Saiyaara opened strong on Friday with Rs 21 crore, saw further growth on Saturday with Rs 26 crore, and reached its highest single-day total on Sunday with Rs 35.75 crore.
What makes Saiyaara's success remarkable is the absence of heavy marketing or media blitz. The film's rise is being driven almost entirely by word-of-mouth, soulful music, and strong audience connect. Viewers have drawn parallels between Saiyaara and Mohit Suri's earlier hit Aashiqui 2, which continues to be a cult favourite among romance lovers.
Due to overwhelming demand, cinema chains have added early morning and midnight shows across major cities to accommodate the crowds.
About the film
Saiyaara follows Krish Kapoor (Ahaan), an aspiring singer, and Vaani Batra (Aneet), a once-famous vocalist turned lyricist. As they collaborate on a song, their professional journey turns into an emotional one, leading to a love story that has clearly struck a chord with audiences nationwide.
