Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel penned a heartfelt note for newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as their film Saiyaara took the nation by storm. Netizens compared the uber success of the film to that of Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha's Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, and the actress seems to have not missed the comparison.
Ameesha took to her X handle on Monday and wrote, "Wishing the Saiyaara couple Ahaan n Aneet all the best !! May u continue to create GADAR at the box office in the future films as well!! (sic)."

For those unversed, Saiyaara has wreaked havoc at the box office and it registered the biggest opening for a film in the romance genre, especially despite being headlined by fresh faces. While the film marks Ahaan's acting debut, it is also Aneet's first film as a lead, as prior to Saiyaara, she was only seen in Salaam Venky in a small role.
Saiyaara ended its first weekend at the box office with a mammoth Rs 83 crore, and it's not far when the film will soar past the Rs 100 crore mark. Theatres have been rendered houseful, forcing owners to add midnight and early morning shows to meet the demand.

Visuals from inside theatres have gone viral showing people crying, screaming and even fainting after watching the heartbreaking story and performances in Saiyaara. A man was even spotted watching the movie with an IV drip and reminiscing his lost love.
The last time when such craze for a new film with debutants was witnessed was when Hrithik and Ameesha's Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai released in theatres in 2000.
