The Saif Ali Khan stabbing case is no less than a Bollywood movie full of twists and turns. Now in the latest plot twist, the Mumbai Police chargesheet revealed that the fingerprints found inside the actor's Bandra flat did not match that of Shariful Islam, who was arrested as the primary accused in the case.
As per reports, around 20 samples from Saif's house and building were sent to the state CID's Fingerprint Bureau, out of which 19 did not match with Shariful. The one fingerprint which did match with that the of the accused was picked from the 8th floor of the building.
The chargesheet also mentioned that the fingerprints recovered from the bedroom, bathroon and cupboard doors did not match with Shariful's fingerprints.
However, Mumbai Police officials stated that fingerprint matching was not foolproof evidence as chances of them matching are one in 1000, due to multiple people touching a single object.
Last week, the Mumbai Police filed a 1000-page chargesheet in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case, and it consisted of fingerprints, facial recognition and other forensic submissions. The chargesheet also confirmed Shariful to be a Bangladeshi national.
