Ramyana Cast: Addinath Kothare To Play The Role Of Bharat; Actor Reveals, 'It’s The Biggest Film Made On Indian Soil'
Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol in the lead role. Recently, in an interview, Addinath Kothare confirmed that he is playing the role of Bharat in the movie, and he also opened up about the script and the VFX of Ramayana. He stated, “It’s the biggest film made on Indian soil. It’s also one of the biggest films made globally today."

One film that the whole country is eagerly waiting for is Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol in the lead roles, and also has a very strong supporting cast. While there were reports that Marathi film actor Addinath Kothare will be seen in the film as Bharat, the actor in the interview confirmed the reports, and also spoke about the movie.
While talking to Bollywood Hungama about being a part of the film, Addinath said, “It’s a blessing yaar. It’s the biggest film made on Indian soil. It’s also one of the biggest films made globally today. To be a part of it, I am truly indebted to Mukesh Chhabra. He is the man who cast me and, of course, Nitesh sir for choosing me for the character of Bharat. And also Namit Malhotra sir who believed in me and entrusted me with such a big responsibility of such an important character.”
While talking about Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra's vision, Addinath stated that the two are absolutely well-planned. He revealed that almost 10 years were spent on the pre-production of the film, and the scripting started in 2016 or 2017.
Addinath Kothare On Ramayana's Script And VFX
The Paani actor also praised the film's screenplay and VFX. He stated, “I was blown away when I heard the screenplay. Now, the display, production value, VFX and detailing; all this is just a cherry on the cake. It is one of the finest scripts I have read, to be honest.”
Ramayana Release Date
Ramayana will be hitting the big screens in two parts. The part one will release on Diwali 2026 and part two is slated to release on Diwali 2027.
