Raid 2 starring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor has hit the big screens today (May 1, 2025). The movie has clashed at the box office with Sanjay Dutt starrer The Bhootnii. While Raid 2 has received mixed reviews, The Bhootnii has received majorly negative reviews. If we talk about the opening numbers, clearly, Raid 2 is very ahead.
Looking at the current trend, we can expect Raid 2 to take a bumper opening at the box office with a collection of around Rs. 18-20 crore. It is surely an excellent opening, much better than the first instalment. Raid had collected Rs. 10 crore on day one, and Raid 2 is expected to collect double of what the first part minted on its first day.

Despite getting mixed reviews, Raid 2 has taken such a good opening because of the franchise factor, and also because it is a Holiday (Maharashtra Day / Labour Day). However, it will be interesting to see that after such an amazing start will the film continue to do well at the box office or not.
Meanwhile, for The Bhootnii, it looks difficult for the film to even cross Rs. 1 crore mark at the box office on day 1. So, we can call it a disaster. However, a miraculous jump over the weekend can help the film.
